Blue Bikes is committed to providing access to equitable bikeshare that is rooted in and supportive of the Greater New Orleans community.

Over the past year, Blue Bikes has seen a 600% increase in annual insurance costs due to changes in the insurance market. To continue offering our service, we must adjust our pricing.

Starting October 1, Pay-As-You-Go pricing will increase to $1.00 unlock and $0.35 per minute. However, we’re committed to minimizing the impact on our local riders. The Blue Bikes For All program and the Blue Bikes monthly plan, designed for New Orleans residents, will remain at their current prices.

To help ease the transition, we’re offering a special promo code, RideThisOctober. Use it to get a $20 one-month discounted membership, including 60 minutes of ride time per day and no unlock fee.

New Orleans residents have made up over 70% of all trips since 2021, and we’re grateful for your continued support. Together, we’ll continue to revolutionize electric transportation in Southeast Louisiana.
